About

Hi, I’m Joel.

Certified Counsellor and Personal Trainer (MACA, Master Trainer).

Active Counselling By Heartwork Joel Rogers

I know firsthand how tough it can be to live with mental illness. It’s not always easy to find the right treatment that works for you. But through my personal and professional experiences, I’ve come to realise that combining physical and mental therapies is often the best way to achieve optimal results in managing mental health challenges.

That’s why I’ve been focusing on this area and learning as much as I can. And I’m excited to share that I’ve developed a unique therapy that blends both physical and mental treatments. It’s been effective for people of all ages and abilities, and I truly believe it could help you too. So, if you’re struggling with mental health issues, know that you’re not alone and there are options out there

Improving the outcomes for people experiencing mental health concerns.

As part of my career as a Personal Trainer and Counsellor, I have had the honor of using my expertise to collaborate with TAFE NSW in the area of Accidental Counselling, and will begin a teaching role in this area of education late 2022. I have also been able to share my theories and methodology with students of the National Women’s Fitness Academy, through the delivery of psychology-based presentations, specifically Motivational Interviewing and the adjustment and improvement of Eating Behaviours. My work in the area of behavioral adjustment has not been limited to adults, as in 2021-2022 I was given the opportunity to deliver therapy to youth with Autism and achieved exciting results.

I am devoted to supporting and joining services within Australia that focus fundamentally on improving the outcomes for people experiencing mental ill-health. I am fortunate to be able to work alongside an incredible group of people who align with this mission, through my role as an NDIS Support Coordinator and Recovery Coach at One Door Mental Health.

I am dedicated to supporting the vulnerable and ‘in need’.

I am a purpose-aligned individual who draws passion from my personal mission to change the mental health service landscape across Australia and I am dedicated to supporting the vulnerable and ‘in need’ members of our community at a local, metropolitan, and regional level. My work within the area of telehealth delivery to remote Australia, has shown me that while there can be hurdles to providing support to those who need it, they are not very high.

I have assisted hundreds of amazing individuals over the last 9 years to reach, not only their believed potential but to exceed it, and I am confident that together we can uncover the path to your best life too.

Joel Rogers.

Clients LOVE Heartwork MHS

I have been training with Joel for a number of years. He is an experienced & committed trainer who has high expectations. I really enjoy the variety & challenge he puts into the sessions as he tailors the program according to my needs. He balances cardio, weights and incorporates stretching to be sure I get the most out of each session. I would recommend him if you are looking to improve your health and fitness long term. Dale.

In my opinion, counsellors or people in industries where they’re trying to help others, haven’t actually gone through anything in their lives. They just sit behind a desk or they’ve gone to university and got that piece of paper to frame and put on the wall. But you’ve been there. You’ve gone through real stuff! You’ve lived life, probably a lot more than others. Your knowledge of life can’t be taught from a book. Gemma.

With Joel’s encouragement I have been able to work through several issues over the last 12+ months and gain back lost confidence and overcome my anxiety. With a new stronger mindset, I feel ready mentally to take on the next chapter in my life and to continue with my weight loss goals. Kelly.
